Inter Miami’s new mentorship initiative connects six Miami Edison Senior High School students with Inter Miami CF front office staff to provide first-hand exposure to professional sports careers
This afternoon, Inter Miami CF launched its 2026 Campeones Cup Legacy Project, introducing a new mentorship initiative designed to expand career access and professional networking opportunities for Miami high school students interested in pursuing careers in the sports industry.
In collaboration with Achieve Miami, the year-long mentorship program pairs six students from Miami Edison Senior High School with Inter Miami CF front office staff members/executives representing a range of departments across the Club including Communications, Human Resources, Fan Strategy & Engagement, Operations, Partnerships, and Foundation.
Through these one-on-one mentor relationships, the students will gain first-hand insight into the sports industry, explore diverse career pathways and build professional connections beyond the traditional classroom setting.
The Miami Edison Senior High School mentees met with Inter Miami CF representatives at Nu Stadium earlier today for a behind-the-scenes experience, welcoming them to the Club and the career possibilities ahead of them. The program launch included a stadium tour for the mentees with access to premium Club spaces, media locations, and the First Team locker room, culminating in a special mentor reveal moment with each student receiving a personalized Inter Miami CF jersey.
"I don't think a lot of people really know what happens behind the scenes, and some of us aren't made to go play on a pitch but we are made to be a part of something bigger like Inter Miami," said Camila Jocelyn-Holt, Inter Miami CF Director of Community Engagement. "I think mentorship is the right way for us to go with this initiative with Campeones Cup to show the youth that it takes a village to do what we do on the pitch, and we have incredible leadership that's willing to teach the next generation what we do so that they can go out there and do it just as good or even better."
Throughout the academic year, Inter Miami CF mentors will meet with their mentees 1-on-1, continuing conversations around professional development and providing guidance as the students identify their interests and consider future educational and career opportunities.
